'Example of Whole School Guidance in Action: Curricular / non-Curricular Languages'

In this webinar, one example of Whole School Guidance was provided as NCGE and Post Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI) focused on ‘languages’ in the context of the continuum of support and in relation to areas of learning and competencies.

The NCGE resource Template for Guidance Plan: Curricular & non-Curricular Languages was referenced during this session. Sandrine Pac-Kenny, Chang Zhang and Agnieszka Grochola from PPLI provided a presentation on:

'Applying to Higher Education from Further Education: Practical Implications and key considerations'

In this webinar, Dr. Carol Guildea (Post Primary Programme Coordinator, NCGE) and Mary Stokes (Further Education and Training Programme Coordinator, NCGE) facilitated a session focusing on the practical implications and key considerations involved in transitioning from Further to Higher Education. In this webinar, lifelong guidance is addressed in relation to a systematic approach to progression.

'Universal Design for Learning in FET Guidance provision'

In this webinar for FET practitioners, NCGE FET Guidance Programme Coordinator Mary Stokes hosted Dr. Tom Tobin and Dara Ryder of AHEAD in an exploration of the application of Universal Design principles in FET Guidance provision. The ‘why’ and ‘how’ of UDL in FET were examined to see how barriers can be lowered to facilitate informed choices for learners in FET.
