AEGAI The Adult Education Guidance Association was set up in 2001 to represent the staff working in the AEGIs. In 2007 the AEGA was renamed the Adult Educational Guidance Association of Ireland. See AEGAI website for more information.

The Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC) is the professional body representing over 1,200 guidance practitioners working in second and third level education, in adult guidance services, private practice and in other settings. See IGC website for more information.

Léargas is a not-for-profit organisation that operates under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills and the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
