The Autumn / Winter 2017 issue of NCGE News is now available, ar fáil freisin as Gaeilge. This edition, in part, reflects the theme of ‘Diversity’ discussed at our recent National Forum on Guidance (18th October 2017).

Launch of NCGE - A Whole School Guidance Framework

Minister Bruton today [05/09/2017] welcomed the launch of The National Centre for Guidance in Education’s (NCGE) ‘Whole School Guidance Framework’.
This document highlights the key role of the guidance counsellor in schools, working with other school staff, in the delivery and planning of guidance to students.
A copy of the document is being issued this week to every post-primary school in the country.

 

 

European online tools and services

 

A public survey to better understand end users’ needs for online tools in the field of skills and qualifications has just been published by the Commission.This survey will help shaping the future developments of existing European tools and services related to education and employment, such as Europass.Individuals, organisations and other stakeholders are all welcome to participate.

20th February 2017 - Minister Bruton announces appointments to NCGE

 

The Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton, T.D. announced the appointment to the Management Committee of the National Centre for Guidance in Education (NCGE), for a 3 year term of office.

Wishing the new Committee members every success in their work, the Minister said

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of the new Management Committee to the NCGE as it continues to promote guidance and provide advice in this very important area.”
