Study Visits hosted by NCGE

NCGE / Euroguidance Ireland host regular study visits with the aim of supporting the sharing of best practice in guidance among guidance practitioners and other relevant professionals.

19th - 21st February 2019

Euroguidance Ireland hosted a Study Visit on 19th - 21st February in Dublin to explore the challenges of providing meaningful guidance in a multicultural context in the Further Education and Training (FET) system in Ireland with reference to upskilling and 'The New Skills Agenda'.

It was hosted in the National Centre of Guidance in Education (NCGE) in Parnell Street, Dublin.

Participants in the study group were from the National Resource Centre for Guidance in Estonia, the House of Guidance in Luxembourg, the Student Guidance Service in Karel de Grote College in Belgium, the Labour Office and Career Services in the Czech Republic, and the Guidance and Counselling Resource Centre in Suceava, Romania

13th - 15th June 2018

Euroguidance Croatia organised a study visit in cooperation with partners in Ireland (including NCGE/Euroguidance Ireland on the topic of Career Counselling in Higher Education: Developing Students’ Career Management Skills. 

Participants for the study visit were selected through an open call which was launched in mid-April 2018 and aimed at staff employed in career deelopment centres of different Croatian higher education institutions.

28th - 30th November 2017

NCGE/Euroguidance Ireland hosted a group of 12 guidance professionals from 7 European countries.

This 3 day visit hosted in the Euroguidance Centre, Ireland, explored strategic planning in guidance and the resources needed to support guidance practice.

Visit by representatives of KRIVET - a national research institute specializing in vocational education in The Republic of Korea.

Topic: Transition Year and School Guidance Programmes and the evaluation of guidance delivery.
