Developing Tools and Resources to aid Mobility
Over the years NCGE has been involved in many projects involving the development of information materials and tools to aid mobility in education and training throughout the EU. Below are details of current projects. For details on older projects click here.

Portal of EU Life Long Learning Opportunities

NCGE is responsible for compiling the Irish Section of the PLOTEUS Website. The PLOTEUS (Portal of EU Life Long Learning Opportunities) website is developed by the European Commission and hosts a database of Europe Wide Learning opportunities. The portal also includes information links on Education Systems, Exchanges and Grants and Moving to a Country.

NCGE is currently working with its Europeans partners to define a common protocol that will allow the interconnection at European Level of national and international databases.

Ireland, Researching your Options
This booklet gives an outline of Higher Education, Further Education and Training Opportunities in Ireland. It also contains information on Certification, Costs, and Application procedures. It is extremely useful for students from outside Ireland as it gives a broad overview of Educational opportunities in Ireland.


 

Guidenet is a transnational network project for vocational and educational guidance.  It is supported by the EU's Leonardo da Vinci programme Guidance practitioners representing the post primary sector, adult guidance sector, labour market sector, higher education and further education are members of the National Guidenet group. Transnational Guidenet members communicate through an online discussion forum and have developed a database of best practice and innovative projects in Europe. On this site also can be found descriptions of various European counties guidance systems.
